Winnie's Story...
Born in 2007, Winnie had a happy family but her human got very sick and then was gone…her family and life was turned upside down and she had no one. Chihuahua Rescue of SD has taken her in to find a new forever home and whoever adopts her will have a wonderful girl. She is approximately 12 pounds, with long beautiful legs and shy at first but fast to be close to you. She has very good potty manners, walks well on a leash and would be a great companion for any age. If you would like to meet Winnie please send in your application found at www.RescueAChi.com or come to one of our upcoming events which are also found on our web site.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a San Diego Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
