Midas's Story...
Midas is just a pup at 10 months. He's going to need positive reinforcement training and plenty of exercise. At 90 lbs he out-grew his home and is looking for a new family to play with. Midas will be best placed with someone who has a secure fenced in area as he enjoys being outside and will not tolerate being crated. Our foster is located in west central Virginia. Check our face book page under Alaskan Malamute Rescue of Delaware where most of the dogs have their own photo album.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Midas, a Augusta County Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky for sale in Augusta County, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky puppy from a breeder in Augusta County.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Augusta County already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Augusta County breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Augusta County paves the way for another one to be saved.
