Target's Story...
Target is a wonderful guy who loves to play with the other shelter dogs. He is probably around 1 year old and weighs about 50 pounds or so. He is an awesome dog. Target will be neutered, up to date on his shots, and heart worm tested upon completion of adoption. Target deserves a good home with people that love him and people that he can love, so if you can feel like you can give that to him, please call Melodie at 217-822-3980 or Linda at 217-466-1062 and please leave a message with your name and phone number so they can call you when they get that message.

Act quickly to adopt Target. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Target, a Paris Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Paris, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Paris.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Paris already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Paris breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Paris paves the way for another one to be saved.
