Hi, my name is Sammy and I am an 11 year old bichon frise. My owner left me at the Palm Beach County shelter because he could no longer take care of me. It was very loud and scary there, and they put me in a cage with 3 other dogs. My coat was filthy and full of matts and I had sores all over my body.

Then a nice lady from Bratpack came and got me. Bratpack took me to a vet, who found out that I had a bad urinary infection and horrible teeth. She groomed me and cutt of all those painfull matts, cut my long nails, and cleaned out my ears. Then we found out that I have bladder stones. I had to have surgery to have them removed, but while I was at the vet, she also cleaned my teeth. So now I will have to be on a prescription diet do I do not develop bladder stones, but I am all set!

I have weak hind legs, although no one is sure what happened - if I was born that way, or if I had an injury - but it makes me walk and sit kinda funny. But I am a very loving and happy boy who would do well as an only pet because I like to have my person all to myself.
