Hooch's Story...
It was first thought that Hooch was aggressive and no one wanted to take him out of his kennel at a local County shelter. The longer he sat in his kennel, the more aggressive he got, perpetuating the idea that he was aggressive.
So one day our Exec Dir, Jamez, took him out and played with him in a play-yard. It was estimated that Hooch had not been out of his kennel in over two months at that point, but he showed NO aggression towards Jamez so she started taking him out on a regular basis. Soon all of Rockstar Rescue's Roadies started taking Hooch out and his 'aggression' (kennel induced) started disappearing. He does still show 'some' aggressiveness towards Men, but again, only when in a kennel.
Hooch is doing GREAT and now our Roadies LOVE HIM!!!
Should possibly be an only dog or with a submissive. Toddlers and younger wouldn't be a good idea due to his size. And definitely someone with calmness and patience to help work out his remaining fears!
