Sonny's Story...
My name is Sonny, I’m a 29yr old Yellow Naped Amazon. I was raised by a man since I was a baby - he was my best friend. I do prefer men, I don’t like the ladies as much though. I LOVE to talk, I can say “hi honey”, “whatcha doing”, “I love youuuuuu” and I love to mimic knocking on-the-door so I can yell “COME IN”. I am very animated and if you are talking, then I am too! I really love to sing even though I sound like Ethel Murman when I do, and I keep up a conversation with the best of the. I have this crazy affinity for BELLS (I like to ring them). I also have the best belly laugh you’ve every heard!!! I love to hang out with you outside of my cage as much as possible. I have to have my showers, I just LOVE them! I am not a needy type of companion, unless of course your eating something, lol! Just keep in mind that I REALLY REALLY prefer men and would do well in a home that has AT LEAST one man that will socialize with me a lot!! If you would like a new buddy and fantastic companion to hang out with, I think we could live happily ever after! I hope to meet you very soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Tampa Amazon was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Amazon for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Amazon from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Amazon breeders who help with Amazon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
