My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Enzo is an endearing little pup who loves everyone. He is just over 10 lbs and is still very much a puppy at approximately 7 months old. He is a little charmer who loves to give kisses and loves playing with toys. He would be a wonderful pet and companion for older children that would enjoy his outgoing, playful nature.

Here is what else his foster family had to say about Enzo:

Enzo is a smart, entertaining, loving, little dog. He is still full of puppy energy and entertains himself by playing with more than one toy at a time pushing one around while holding the other one in his mouth. He loves his toys whether it is a ball, kong or bone. He moves so quickly it is hard to get action shots of him. Enzo loves people so much that he showers you with kisses and a few wet louies if you let him. Despite being so active he will settle into his crate with no problem or settle for a snooze on the couch with you.

Enzo is very social and friendly with everyone. He has not been tested with small children but because he loves to get right into your face to give you kisses, he might startle some small children. Enzo has a tendency to give small puppy nips when he is really excited (expecially when on his back) which is his way of playing when he gets going. He is very intelligent and will tone down his play by placing a hand on his back and saying "settle". He does not show any shyness and is equally affectionate to anyone. Enzo's puppy energy could be unnerving to some older dogs. He would do well with another young dog that really like to play. Enzo, while playing with his toys, will jump right on or over the other dogs while they are lying around.

Enzo is excellent in his crate. He is in his crate at night 7 hours and goes in and settles immediately without a peep from him. He is taken out in the morning and runs straight to the door to go out and do his business. He will last all night without messing in his crate. He is crated while we are away during the day and again settles in without a problem. He uses his crate to keep his toys and will go back into his crate when out during the day just to take out another toy. Enzo being a puppy still should be crated until he can be fully trusted in the house alone. Thankfully he has not exhibited any desire to chew shoes or anything inappropriate but we ensure he has a variety of durable chew toys available to him at all times.

Enzo is very intelligent and has such a great character that we have been working on some commands. He will sit if given a treat and always comes when he is called. With time, Enzo will be able to learn a number of commands. I would not leave him out of his crate while you are not home for his own protection and because he is crate trained. Enzo loves to go for walks and will wait at the door when you say it time for a walk. He will pull on the leash for the first several minutes from being so excited to be out for a walk and then will settle nicely.

Enzo is such a loving, people oriented dog with a great personality. He is not particular, he loves everyone and would be happy with anyone who would allow energetic kisses to be showered on them constantly. He is happy to be out and about but is also content to be in his crate to rest and re-energize. Enzo still has sharp little teeth that he uses when he is playing so he would need to be separate from smaller children that might be mistaken for one of his toys.
