About Our Rescue Group...
Ohio Hound Rescue is an off-shoot of Three Sisters Pet Rescue. We specialize in hounds, including beagles. But we rescue all breeds and mixes.

We also have a cat sanctuary called "Bast's Bastion." It is a safe haven for mother cats and kittens.

All of our pets are in foster care or boarding and were rescued from high kill/ overcrowded situations. When you adopt from Ohio Hound Rescue, you are also opening a space for a death row inmate to be saved!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annie, a Cincinnati Coonhound/Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound/Foxhound for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Coonhound/Foxhound dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound/Foxhound breeders who help with Coonhound/Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
