Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This gorgeous young lady (we are guessing around 2 years old) has the most wonderful loving eyes, the softest, most beautiful coat that you can imagine and the waggy-tailed, goofy disposition of a a golden retriever all packaged in the cutest, short-legged body. What a fantastic girl this is.
UPDATE: Goldie went home with an adopter, when she was taken to the vet she got very upset and snarled and lunged at the veterinarian. We have been unable to duplicate this behavior at all. We have picked her up in our arms, bathed her, pulled her tail, turned her on her back, introduced her to strangers, and she has handled everything with ease and shown nothing but her loving nature. We additionally contacted the animal control where she was taken into custody and held before we took her in and neither the animal control officers who captured her and brought her into the facility noted any fearful or aggressive behavior from Goldie. We cannot explain what happened at the veterinarian and were not there to see exactly what did occur but we wanted potential adopters to be aware of what was told to us.
We do not know how Goldie ended up at Animal Control and we sure cannot understand why her owners did not show up to take her back home but we do know that Goldie was somebody's pet. She is perfectly house trained, knows all about leashes and will sit and look at you expectantly with her tail wagging if you ask her is she wants to go for a walk. Goldie knows all about taking baths and all about being brushed and having her nails clipped. She acts like she has been to the groomer many, many times. If you are looking for a unique pup with a prize-winning personality, Goldie just might be the perfect addition to your family.
We don't know if Goldie likes kitties or not but will be finding out and updating this information once we know for sure.
