Baby kitten Group 2's Story...
We have baby kittens that will be available for adoption end of April for group 1 and end of May for group 2. Calico mom, Jazzie, has 4 kittens born Friday, March 30th - muted orange male, gray/white male, white male and calico female. We will be taking a $200 deposit for the kittens, who once they are 8 weeks old will be allowed to live with you on a "foster-to-adopt" option until they weigh 3-4 lbs. Once they reach weight, we will take the kitten to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. We will then refund you $100 of the $200 deposit. Just remember, we are a non-profit organization and operate on donations. Your adoption fee is tax deductible.

UPDATE AS OF 4/22/12: the calico female and the white male with gray markings have been "adopted" as has the gray/white male. The muted orange male is still available for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby kitten Group 2, a Morgan Hill Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Morgan Hill, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Morgan Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morgan Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morgan Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morgan Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
