Decca's Story...
I'm Decca and I'm a 12-14 wk old girl. I think I'm a Dachshund mix. I was abandoned with my brothers and sisters and we were left to fend for our selves. When I came to my foster home, I was very shy. With the love, time and especially good treats I am not so shy anymore. I love to have belly rubs and hugs and kisses. I haven't met a person or dog that I don't like. I expect to be a small to medium size dog. I have a coat that has some curl to it and it is so very shiny, when I'm not playing in the mud. All I want is home of my very own. Can you help me with my wish?(Haiah)Please, you MUSTpaste following link into your browser BEFORE emailing for further information. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Decca, a Windham Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Windham, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Windham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windham paves the way for another one to be saved.
