Sidney's Story...
If the perfect dog is what you seek, your search ends here with Sidney!! Sidney is an awesome 10-12 mo old amazing black lab mix. He is little more lean and leggy than a typical lab Sidney came into foster care after a 4 week stint in local animal control. We can't believe he wasn’t adopted in that time as he is just wonderful!! Sidney is an active dog and he loves to play. He will play with big dogs or little dogs. He loves a good game of chase, a squeaky toy and the occasional rawhide. He is respectful of cats but if they wanted to play with him, that would be okay too!! He is crate trained and housetrained. He walks well on the leash and is good in the car!! This is the total package!! Sidney's ideal home will have a securely fenced yard and a canine playmate (or an active adult) He is neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. **This pet is in a foster home, not a shelter, please use the contact information provided. **

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sidney, a Woodstock Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Woodstock, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Woodstock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodstock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodstock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodstock paves the way for another one to be saved.
