Fiyero ("Fi") is not in the Closer to Home Animal Advocates program. We are listing him as a courtesy to his owner and we will help screen applications.
Fi is a 2-1/2 year old neutered male Alaskan Malamute and weighs 115 pounds. His owner needs to rehome him for personal reasons and wants to be sure he gets into a great new home. His owner said the following: "He is an amazing pet now, great with kids as he used to go play with kids everyday at the zoo with me. He also gets along very well with other animals and people of all ages. He is leash trained and knows several commands such as: front, heel, wait, get in, sit, down and high five. He is also potty trained. I have become very attached to him at this point and hate to place him to a new home but I got A full time job now and am a full time student, so I think it would be more fair for him to be in a home where he can get lots of attention. I would really love to see him in a home with either another dog or maybe some kids to love on him." Fiyero is also good with cats. He is a little shy with tall men but warms up quickly.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out and submit our
