My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

! We're taking guesses on Teaker's breed or mix but she certainly has a labby-like body & face but if you look up a Treeing Tennessee Brindle, Greyhound or Catahoula she might get her brindle coloring from there. Well, no matter what her mix, we know for sure that she is PURE sweetness!

This gal is the baby at Izzy's Place as she is only 5 years old. Yes, younger than we normally take in but we'd planned on taking her & her life-long companion, a senior yellow lab mix, but he went to a different rescue & we certainly couldn't sleep at night knowing we'd left Teaker behind at the shelter.

She's the sweetest dog ever! Loves her walks and she's even been running with her foster mom & the other dogs each morning. She's always happily wagging her tail, is the best greeter when you get home from a long day at work or even a quick trip to the market. She's great with other dogs, cats and kids too. Teaker really loves to play and wrestle with other dogs so she will need to be adopted by a family with at least one other medium to large breed dog. Teaker's spayed, up to date on all vetting and ready for her forever home!

Our adoption process includes completion of an Adoption Application, Phone Interview, and Home Visit. Our foster homes have the final say in which applicant is the best fit for their foster dog. It is not a first come, first serve basis.
We are not a shelter. Each dog is placed in an approved foster home, or reside at the small sanctuary, until adopted.
