Lizard's Story...
Hi my name is Lizard. I am a little boy black lab mix. My Momma was a very good natured lab and my Daddy didn’t stick around but some of my sisters have the markings of a boxer so we think he was a boxer. I get along with children, other dogs and cats. I actually get along with everyone. I don’t even bother those chickens that keep coming by to bug us. I am up to date on all my shots and I will be neutered before I leave. My birthday is estimated to be 2/11/2012. Please consider me as a new member to your family.

To find out more information about this pup please email us at heathershouseofhounds@gmail.com. We will provide information about our process/paperwork and you can request an application there as well. Thank you and we look forward to helping you find your new fur-ever friend!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizard, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
