My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mudflap and Tailpipe are a bonded pair that need a home together.

Tailpipe is a black/tan/white happy-go-lucky squirt. He is bonded with Mudflap (also in our listings) and must be adopted with him. They both are being fostered and cared for by the staff at the Hayes Branch Wildlife Rehab organization and is looking for a home. He seems a bit apprehensive at first, but after a bit of scratching behind the ears, he is ready for the attention. He has a slight case of separation anxiety. After about ten minutes or so without you he settles right down, but he would prefer to have you underfoot. I haven't seen any possessive behavior while he's been with us. He does well with other dogs but we don't know how he is with other animals. He also adores kids and loves to play.

Mudflap has been teaching him all about letting his humans know about the wandering opossums. Although, if you explain (firmly) that you are aware of said opossum and thank them for the heads up, they both settle in for the night and give up their end of the conversation.

Mudflap is a light tan and white sweetheart of a dog. He is bonded with Tailpipe (also in our listings) and must be adopted with him. He has been neutered, but his age is not known. He does well with other dogs, except he gets possessive of his food or chew bones. We don't know how he is with other animals. He is an attention seeker and loves to just sit by you (providing you have a hand on him) otherwise he likes to sit on you to get your attention. He is just as happy out in the yard playing as well, with you of course. He doesn't really talk very much, unless of course a opossum goes wandering to close to the fence. Then he does like to make you aware of the intruder. He is a very loyal little guy that would love nothing more than to play with the kids or just relax with his family.

Contact Mindy at mmiller@beaglebuddies.org to obtain an application. Submit the application form and we will schedule a time to meet the pet. If interested in adopting we require a home visit and an adoption agreement with a fee. Beagles over 5 years of age have an adoption of $100 and if younger than 5 years the fee is $125. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, are up to date on vaccinations, and a copy of vet records is provided upon adoption to set up a file at your vet. We supply collar, temporary ID tag until you can use till you get one, and leash. All beagles are micro-chipped as well.
