Izzy's Story...
Lizzy and her daughter Izzy came to the shelter together. At our best guess Izzy is around 5 to 6 months old and about 20 pounds is Small/Medium in size, is learning to walk on a leash & sit when asked, Lizzy and Izzy are both scared at the shelter, Lizzy did come up and lick my face so I think they would make very sweet companions with a little training. I fell in love with these 2 girls today as I think you would too after sitting in their kennel with them. Lizzy & Izzy do not have to be adopted together, but if you're searching for a pair of dogs, these girls will definitely end your search. If you wish, they can be tested at the shelter around Dogs & Cats.

Act quickly to adopt Izzy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Izzy, a Grass Valley Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
