Oreo Cookie's Story...
Cookie is a 4 month old golden retriever/ yellow lab mix with aussie mixed in somewhere.. She is one of six rescued from the country. She weighs about 35 lbs now so she will be a large girl. She has had three sets of puppy shots and worming and is ready for her forever home. Cookie is the quietest, most laid back in the litter. She loves everyone and would make a great addition to any family. LM

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo Cookie, a Windham Golden Retriever/Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Blue Heeler for sale in Windham, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Windham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windham paves the way for another one to be saved.
