Neo's Story...
You've heard good things come in small packages we think this applies to our new buddy, Neo. Neo has lovely coloring and bright inquisitive eyes. He really enjoys getting outside for some exercise and is responsive on lead and knows to sit with voice command. He is a quiet and loving young (about 3 years) fellow who really enjoys a rear-end scratch and a good belly rub. Neo truly enjoys being around people and has captured the hearts of several of the volunteers. He just wants to be close but prefers a lap, naturally. Neo is well behaved in kennel. If you have a spot in your house and home for this little guy we encourage you to come meet him soon, applications are now being taken.

If you want to apply for this dog click here.
You can then email the application to the Meridian Animal Shelter.

Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged.
All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Neo, a Meridian Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
