found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
I'm so happy to have my foster family in my time of need, but I would LOVE to be adopted to my own forever family. All my shots are up to date, and I have been neutered. I travel easily and will adapt quickly to a new home. REALLY, all I need is to know that you and I will be life-long companions. Please give me an opportunity to be loved and to love you forever. I sometimes get excited when left alone for long periods of time and may have an accident on your floor, but foster mom is working on helping me with that small problem. I have enclosed a new picture of myself for you to get a glimpse of how handsome I am :-). I'm waiting for you. Thank You, Cosmo
UPDATE 5/26/12: Cosmo really is a million-dollar-dog. He's not just cute and lovable; he also has the attitude of an Olympic Champ. Little Cosmo came to us all matted up, skin and bones, scared to death, and sick with a cold. The shelter said he was a stray and I just can't imagine this sweet little dog being in the streets all alone. He was tough enough to survive it, and now he deserves so much more. Cosmo has been an 'over-comer' since day one! If I wanted to climb Mt. Everest, he'd be right there behind me, all the way, with his little "can-do" attitude. He's not just a dog - he's a very lovable, and appreciative, best friend. I just can't say enough great things about him. He snuggles by my side each night and jumps up happy each morning. He's a tough and brave dog because he thinks he's King Kong in a 9 lb body! And yet he's totally full of snuggles, love, and little sugars.
I believe that Cosmo would be a great companion for anyone, especially those with children that are at least ten years old and who are able to understand his excitement at seeing them come home. When he gets exceedingly happy, Cosmo will give gentle love-nibbles, but they are never hard bites, just gentle nibbles. He's all-about love. He gets along with all dogs, big and small, and would probably like to have a friend to play with, rather than be the only dog. Cosmo is about 2 years old and has a long, healthy life ahead of him with his forever family.
Update 05/18/12: Cosmo is ready to meet his forever family. He has shaken that horrible URI, and yesterday was neutered. Today he's his happy, loving self, and starting to wonder where his forever home will be. Cosmo loves other dogs, loves to run and play in the yard, but likes to know his foster mom is nearby. He's a cuddlebug too! He's not a large dog, so we're thinking that a family without small children would be best. He's just as sweet as they come, and the family who ends up with him is going to be very lucky indeed.
Initial Bio 04/07/12: Cosmo was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Fort Worth, Texas, in his last hours on Friday, March 29. He's a nice little boy, but didn't show that side at the shelter. When another rescue group went to pick him up, he was aggressive and got left behind. Our volunteer was able to coax him toward her with some chicken tenders! He's settling now, likes the other dogs in the home, but isn't eating well. We will post an update after further evaluation. Send good thoughts for Cosmo, please.
