Cherry's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Cherry's Story...
Cherry is a super sweet, energetic, people-friendly, extremely strong and muscular, one-year-old, 45-pound, female, red and white pit bull terrier looking for a loving guardian. Cherry is looking for an experienced dog-lover to take her under their wing for daily exercise, fun, and training. She is currently being kenneled in West Chicago, Illinois, and would like nothing more than to have a loving family to call her own. She would make a phenomenal running partner as she has tons of energy and stamina to burn. It appears that she may be best as the only pet in the home. Cherry is healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Cherry, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900, or Ray at colonelchisholm@sbcglobal.net or 847-639-6801 or 815-382-1169. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescue dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cherry, a Chicago American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
