My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE ON THIS BEAUTY! It's easy to see how Amber got her name with her gorgeous big round amber eyes. At 2.5 years old she is a very exuberant young girl, and on the slim side only weighing about 60 pounds. Amber LOVES people and is very affectionate. Her favorite pose is to press the top of her head into you as she gets scratches and eventually ends up in a crooked upside down headstand with her tush in the air. She can be a bit mouthy but knows her strength and has an incredibly soft bite - yet may be more suited in a home with older children. Amber is ready for play at any time, but will also rest quietly at your feet or in her open crate - she loves her crate. She has a quirky prance when she's excited - like doing a dance with her legs stick straight. With her energy, fitness, and incredible speed, Amber would do great at agility or fly ball. However, playing fetch is less about the immediate return than it is about running around in circles, ball in mouth with extreme joy. Amber loves to get out and about whether going for car rides or long walks. She is strong and likes to get everywhere fast, so her foster uses a no-pull harness that she responds very well with. Currently, she is living with a male shepherd and after a carefully managed introductory period - they get along very well. However, she is very competitive for attention and toys and would do best in a home where she is the only dog so she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. Amber is an awesome, beautiful girl for some lucky experienced shepherd person!
