Mac's Story...
LOCATED IN LOUISIANA

Hi, I'm Mac! I am an awesome 4 year old male Shepherd mix! I am calm, friendly, lovable and I LOVE riding in the car! I am very smart and fully house trained. I get along great with dogs and older children. I have not been tested with very young children or cats. I would love to find a forever home!

Although Mac is currently located in Southeast Louisiana, transportation to the New England area can be easily arranged.

Because I am from the southeastern states where there is a high occurrence of heartworm disease I previously tested positive for heartworms, but the great people at AAVA have already treated me and I am going to be just fine!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mac, a Groton Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Groton, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
