Chris's Story...
This is Chris and while the last few months have shown some hardship, but he is very lucky that someone
found him and notified us.
We believe Chris may have been attacked by a dog based on 8 different wounds in all areas of his body. He is healing at an amazing rate
and is the biggest lover who just needs some TLC! He does fine with other cats and is inquisitive (or maybe a little fearful) about dogs. He is very mellow and waiting to find a home
that can once again show him love.

If you have a lap for this kitty, please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to learn about
our adoption process & fees, or to fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chris, a Okotoks Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
