Louie's Story...
Louie is a very sweet, playful, loving, gorgeous and snugly, six-year-old, 40-pound, male tri-color Beagle looking for a loving guardian. Poor Louie was left alone in his home when it was foreclosed upon. He is really well trained; housebroken, knows the commands sit, down, rolls over, and takes treats gently. Louie has a soft fur coat which makes him fun to cuddle with. He walked right up to me during our photo shoot, gave me a kiss and snuggled up to me … he won my heart. Louie loves his food and treats and will go to great lengths to get them, so he’s best in a home with someone who understands food-guarding and food aggression in dogs. Otherwise he’s perfect! He is great with other dogs, very healthy, de-wormed, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. Louie’s adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of Underdog Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Louie, please contact Joan@Underdog-Rescue.com or 847-529-5959, or his foster mom Debbie at kruegerd55@gmail.com or 847-362-3056.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Chicago Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
