Moonshine - Declawed's Story...
Hi! My name is Moonshine! Somebody gave me that name because of my pretty fluffy black shiny fur. I got lost from my family, and I didn't do well on my own because its hard to catch food without any claws! (Yes, I am declawed.) I was on my own for a while, and I got pretty thin. Foster mom is doing a great job of plumping me up.The doctors think I might be up to 8 years old, but foster mom thinks I might be younger than that because I still like to play with my loop toy with the ball that goes round and round. I love to get petted and I purr as soon as you sit down to talk to me. I'm a little uncomfortable around other cats, but I am learning how to be civil. I hope to find a new home where I will be kept inside forever and never get lost outside again! Maybe I can come home with you?

Moonshine is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative. Her adoption fee is $85.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moonshine - Declawed, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
