Sophie's Story...
My story: Sophie was found in a feral colony, but she is the sweetest and most loving little girl. On her very first night in the house, she hopped up on the bed, flopped down, and started purring as loud as she could! She was so happy to be in the house that she couldn’t decide if she wanted to eat first, explore first, play first or snuggle first. This is all pretty amazing since her previous owners dumped her in the feral colony to fend for herself with no claws what so ever. Just goes to show she is a lover and not a fighter though she is a survivor. Sophie loves to sit on laps and give kisses and love bites. Her favorite spot in the house is right next to the people she loves. Won’t you give this sweet girl the loving home she deserves?
Good with Cats: Yes | Good with Dogs: Unknown | Good with Children: No Small Children

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
