My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emma was purchased from a back yard breeder. However, within a week of getting Emma, her new family unexpectedly had a baby placed in their home. Caring for a baby and training a puppy was just too much, so Emma made her way into rescue.

Emma is certainly well socialized with dogs as she is living with a large pack of them. She is the current favorite “toy”, and the younger doxies all want to play with her. As she wrestles with one, the others stand around hoping to be the next one chosen.

Emma is a puppy which means she chews inappropriate items and her new owner should be prepared to lose a few valuables along the way.

We have had Emma spayed and micro chipped and she is current on her vaccinations.

The ideal home for Emma will have the following qualifications:
• Someone at home most of the day, stay-at-home parents, or folks who work from home.
• Another small, young dog for play and companionship.
• A very secure INDOOR place for the puppy to be when no one is at home.
• Applicants must be between 25 and 65 years of age.
• No infants or toddlers, please, but we will consider families with children over eight years old.
• Previous puppy experience is a plus, but not absolutely essential.

If you are interested in Emma , please fill out an adoption application at www.scdr.org and email Lindy at linla@comcast.net.

The tax deductible donation for Emma is $375
