Twyla's Story...
So we all know that most flowers do better when they're outdoors, and that you generally see their true colors when they're out in the sunshine. Our little Twyla is no exception! If you were to just meet her within the confines of her room here at the shelter, you'd be missing out on a whole lot! Twyla comes off as very shy at first sight - but as soon as you take her outside, she becomes an entirely different dog. While she's prone to hiding from newcomers inside, when she's out in the yard she wants to run, play, and be a merry little pup. All she needs is for someone to let her warm up to them and she'll never want to leave their side! So if you're looking for a loyal companion, or a friend to play ball with, come see our little rosebud, Twyla, and you'll have a best friend for life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Twyla, a Columbus American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Columbus, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
