Cupcake's Story...
This 11 week old puppy was bouncing around in the tall grass, barely visible between the blades, when a neighbor of the accidental litter found her with her sister. Mom is a mini-Yorkie but it's anybody's guess who Daddy was. We are pretty certain he is a little guy too cause these two sweeties are under 2 lbs! Cupcake is the smaller of the two and a bit more reserved than her sister who has been adopted, but she is also bouncy and playful. We anticipate she will remain small but it is hard to say just how small. If you were looking for a pocket companion, Cupcake may be for you! Please email val@sweetadoptables.org for an application. Full vetting and spay included in her $300 adoption fee. There is an additional $120 reimbursement fee for transporting her up north. COME MEET CUPCAKE!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cupcake, a Westport Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Westport, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
