Meow! My name is Duke
|Breed:||Domestic Mediumhair||Color:||Gray Or Blue||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered.
Gray tabby, medium hair, male, born approx. 6/1/05, #9186P
This handsome boy was relinquished to The Rescue House after his guardian died and nobody else in the family wanted to care for him.
Duke is very affectionate and greatly enjoys his lap time; he has a cute little meow that he uses to ask for pets. Duke will purr and purr and purr, amping it up as he makes muffins on your legs. He likes to put his face up to yours and give "kitty kisses" as he bumps noses or rubs on your chin. Duke likes his pets so much that he may get a bit upset when you stop and take your hand away. He is such a handsome boy and will start to talk to you when you get up or get home. Duke has gone through some hard times and will need a little time and patience to adjust to a new home. Once he settles in, his sweet and loving nature will absolutely shine!
Duke is fine with other respectful cats though is unlikely to make friends with them... he is human-focused. He would rather not live with dogs or children and prefers a quiet home.
It’s hard to believe that Duke could ever be unwanted. He is prepared to dish out so much love and affection to the lucky family who takes him home. Will you be the one who can see all the potential here just waiting for you to give it an outlet?

The Rescue House is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting cats through its rescue, foster and adoption activities. We find loving homes for unwanted, abandoned, homeless and abused cats. We open our arms to cats that need assistance, regardless of age and often regardless of handicap. We find good homes for every cat that we take in - we are a true no-kill cat rescue organization.
We at The Rescue House believe that we can contribute to the welfare of our furry friends by implementing an Adoption Program. Our Adoption Centers are located in retail pet stores whose philosophy agrees with The Rescue House's mission. A list of the adoption centers can be found here: http://www.rescuehouse.org/adoption-centers.html
All prospective adopters must complete an application and be interviewed as part of the adoption process.
