My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Speck is one of the coolest Chihuahuas I have ever met. She doesn’t have an ounce of “little dog syndrome”. She loves all dogs, cats, people, everything! She likes to cuddle on the couch while we watch tv and wrestles with the dogs when it is play time. She is house broken, crate trained, and just an awesome little girl. She will make a great addition to any home.

Speck was initially rescued from a rural county shelter in NC. Her owner dumped her and her newly weaned litter. Her puppies were quickly adopted but she was left behind. We rescued her and two others that day. Unfortunately, two of the other dogs rescued with her came down with distemper and parvo, so Speck had to be quarantined in a foster home for 2 months. She never showed any symptoms of either disease. The day one of her buddies started having parvo symptoms, Speck would not eat her breakfast so she spent that day at the vet and was on antibiotics for a week just in case.

She is doing great though and loving life in the house with her foster parents and siblings.

If you are interested in making this sweet girl a part of your family, please email turtlepantsfarm@gmail.com and we will send you an application.
