Meow! My name is Shadow
Important Note: Shadow is best friends with Twizzy. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Black (All)||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Shadow was born in the woods of a west county neighborhood. When he was a kitten, he & his brothers discovered someone who walked their cat at night. Every night at the same time, Shadow and his brothers would wait by the front door and follow the lady & her cat. They would run & "attack" the older cat and try to play with his harness & leash. Shadow & his brothers were captured without too much trouble and spent some very timid months indoors. Now, Shadow and his brother, Twizzy, while still shy when strangers come by, are "regular" housecats! They lounge on the sofa and come when the dinner whistle is given -- and even dash upstairs ahead of their foster parent when it is bed time -- "treats before bed!"....Shadow is a suppertime talker. Anytime there is food involved, Shadow wants to tell you all about it. Sometimes, he wants you to pick him up and pet him for a few mintues before he eats his supper (or treats). Shadow actually prefers to share a plate with another cat -- especially his brother, Twizzy.
Shadow is good with his claws and keeps them "in". Shadow likes to be brushed, although, not all of the time. He's not a lap cat and will frequently be doing "his own thing"; but if you get out the toys and jangle anything with a bell, he'll usually come running to see what's up! He's also good at playing by himself with just some catnip filled toys.
Shadow & Twizzy were born in February 2011.

Mission Statement: The Cat Network is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, 501(c) (3), no-kill and life-enhancing cat rescue group. Since 1991, we have rescued and placed thousands of abandoned, abused, stray and shelter cats and kittens in St. Louis, Missouri and surrounding areas. After their rescue, the cats and kittens are provided medical care, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered. Cats and kittens are kept in foster care and then placed in loving permanent homes whenever possible.
