My name is Pinkie. I’m a 3 year old, female Australian Shepherd mix. I was in terrible shape when I was brought into rescue. I was covered in those nasty little tics. They made me very itchy and I could not bear the thought of those horrible little creatures invading my body! YUCK! I am free of them now. The day I was saved from my previous owners, I was given a bath and the nice ladies here, picked every single one off my body. I am so grateful I ended up here, with people who care about me. I never experienced care and affection like I have here and I must confess; I am addicted! I want more. I am a very sweet, calm doggie and I would love to be adopted as soon as possible. I’m pretty (so I’m told) and I have plenty of character, as you can see in my photos. I am still young and vibrant and very anxious to experience the good life. The good life for me is really simple…regular meals, play time, a nice soft place to sleep and lots and lots of love. Not too much to ask, really.

SUGGESTED ADOPTION DONATION IS $150

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PINKIE, a El Paso Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in El Paso, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in El Paso.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Paso already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Paso breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Paso paves the way for another one to be saved.
