Sophia FOSTER HOME NEEDED's Story...
**SOPHIA HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND A FOSTER HOME IS DESPERATELY NEEDED FOR HER** Sophia is a rough coat female Saint Bernard that is around a year old. She was picked up as a stray in Central California that went unclaimed and was scheduled for euthanasia the day after we got her out of the shelter. She is a very energetic pup that plays fetch and loves to play with the other Saint in her foster home, but does show dominance toward him, so if you have another dog, it's best if it is submissive or there may be issues. She is very smart and has impressed her foster family by learning something after the first try (except staying off the furniture!). She is wonderful on a leash, and loves taking long walks. If you are interested in adopting Sophia, please download an adoption application from our web site at www.sunnysaints.org, fill it out and submit it as instructed and you will be contacted within 24 hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia FOSTER HOME NEEDED, a Bellflower St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
