Sunny's Story...
Posted April 18th...Meet Sunny, an adorable, sweet, energetic lab mix weighing 50-60 pounds. We believe she is between 1-2 years. Sunny is currently being fostered by Central Bark Doggy Day Care in Oswego. What a fun place for her to be. Please do not call them to schedule an appointment to meet Sunny, as an application must be submitted prior to meet this fabulous dog. You are welcome to go to their facebook page to see additional videos of Sunny. Sunny is the tan dog with the green collar in the attached video.

This is what Central Bark has to say about Sunny.....Sunny is a fabulous dog and does well with everyone!!!! She's so great, she is now the introduction dog in our active group. She was the first dog we introduced Max, the Husky to. She fit right in. We may have to keep her as the Central Bark mascot she is that great!:)

She will make someone an absolutely fantastic addition to their family. She is smart, friendly, loves to cuddle, but very energetic. She takes treats nicely, will sit, needs some leash training, and if you have small children, Sunny may not be the right match, not because he wouldn't LOVE them, but because he could not them over. Sunny's perfect family will need a 6ft fenced in yard or no yard as she can jump a 4ft fence. If you are looking for a great jogging, biking or walking partner, Sunny is your gal. When introduced to a kitty at my house, she coward and walked away, the next day she had more interest, but no chasing or aggressive behavior.

We don't know if Sunny is housebroke, but he is crate trained, and for the short time she spent at my house to did not have an accident and she did her thing outside. She is a spectacular dog and will make a great addition to your family. She is an absolute sweetheart, and everyone who meets her agrees. This is one dog you will have to meet to totally appreciate how sweet she is.

Sunny came from a high kill shelter in Joplin, MO. Looking at her adorable face and seeing her personality, it's hard to imagine how such a wonderful dog could end up alone and unwanted. Lucky for her, we saw her face, knew her loving potential and saved her so he could meet a wonderful family deserving of her love. He would be the perfect pet to add to any family - with or without children. See for yourself what a great pup he is.

If you would like to be the first to meet this absolutely terrific puppy, please go to the to download and submit an adoption application.

The adoption fee of $1750.00 includes: Her spaying (which is now done), microchipped, heart worm tested negative, vaccinated with bordetella for the prevention of kennel cough, rabies vaccinated, up to date for Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo, dewormed with panacur and droncit, treated with Revolution for the prevention fleas, mites and heartworm . You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital or Wheaton Animal Hospital, a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.

The adoption also comes with a free puppy/doggy class through Flydogs located at Central Bark Doggie Day Care in Oswego, which introduces you to housebreaking, name recognition, crate training, sit/stay and leash walking. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a Naperville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
