Ivie's Story...
Hi! My name is Ivie and I am a 4.5 pound, 7 month old Yorkie mix who was set to be euthanized at the AZ Humane Society due to a severe head tilt to the left. My foster mommy came and saved me and I was so happy to be going to my new "foster home". The minute we got home, she put me down and I ran and played with the other dogs, chased them, tugged at their ears, went in and out the doggy door and drank water until my heart's content. I am a little doll baby and love to give you Yorkie kisses. After the vet looked in my ears and checked me over, he said I may always have this head tilt due to my inner ear, but I am just fine.....my foster mommy says it ads to my charm and personality. I am ready to find a family of my own. Please no kids as I am much too fragile. A stay at home parent is a must and another SMALL dog in the home would be perfect as I would be bored without another dog my size. If you want a little lover, ask for me, Ivie, on your application. I will be waiting. Love Ivie, 041812-1

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ivie, a Gilbert Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
