Charles's Story...
Charles is a Lhasa Opso Cocker Spaniel mix. John found him running around town and brought him back to the shelter. No one has come to claim sweet lil Charles so he is looking for a new home. He has pictures posted, one of him how he was when he was first brought in and the other after a local groomer volunteered to give him a free haircut. Charles had severe matting in his coat, ticks fleas, and small soars from where the mats pulled at his skin. He has been through a lot but he is freshly groomed, has his vaccinations, and is getting bunches of loves and attention. He is great with kids, but does not do well with other dogs. Charles will need someone who is patient, likes to cuddle, no other dogs, and has children that are not rough. Blackwell Animal Control is not a no kill shelter but we will keep Charles as long as we have space. Please contact Blackwell Animal control or come by and give Charles a visit.

Act quickly to adopt Charles. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charles, a BLACKWELL Lhasa Apso/Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Cocker Spaniel for sale in BLACKWELL, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in BLACKWELL.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BLACKWELL already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BLACKWELL breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BLACKWELL paves the way for another one to be saved.
