Facts about Benny

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tan Or Fawn Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 4478
  • Hair: Short
He's a great cat, lots of personality, absolutely loves attention, sitting on laps, sleeping with people. He was found skinny and sick as a stray. He has a great appetite, loves canned food. Playful, talkative, he will follow his foster mom around the house and tell her about his day. He gets along great with dogs, kids. He has gotten along with other cats in the past but tends to get picked on so another cat in the home must be laid back. Won't you give him a chance to find his forever home today!
He is between 8-10 years old, he has been through a lot in the past few years to discover what causes him to sneeze so frequently and seem congested. He takes lysine( an immunity booster) daily but it is inexpensive and easily put right on his food. He is not contagious to other cats but other cats he lives with must be up to date on vaccinations and in good health.

RFA (Rescue, Foster and Adoption) Helping the stray animals find shelter and love through our foster homes and adoption through various locations. All of our animals are spayed or neutered, tested for feline Leukemia and FIV, dewormed, microchipped and given a health check by a vet before they are placed up for adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

An adoption application must be filled out. An applicant must be 21 years of age or older. If adopter rents home or an apartment a copy of the lease must be seen or we must speak with a landlord prior to the adoption. All cats must be kept indoors only! If for some reason the adoption does not work out the animal is welcomed back into the organization. If a cat is returned to AOHS the cat must be healthy and adoptable and returns will be based on availability of foster homes. The adoption fee is non-refundable.

All of our animals are tested for FELV and FIV, Spay or neutered prior to the adoption. Have been given a distemper shot, been dewormed, microchipped and have a signed health check. Most important is that the animals are cared for in loving foster homes when the animals are exposed to a home enviroment in which they have free roam, interact with foster familes and are loved.

Adoption fees for kittens under a year old is $125, cash or check. All adult cats over 1 year old are only $50.
