Lizzy has the cutest little face, beautiful, expressive eyes, perky ears and a tail that never stops wagging! She's super friendly with people, dogs, cats and kids. Don't let her greying muzzle fool you. She is full of life and love! She's a 7 year old Boxer-mix who's smart, funny and super cuddly. Lizzy's looking forward to her very first summer in Colorado and is a great walking or hiking companion, loves car rides and hoping to find an active family that will include her in all their fun summer trips. Lizzy LOVES to play fetch and she'll bring her ball right to you, drop it by your feet and wait in anticipation. If you take too long she'll pick it up and toss it closer to you. Too cute! She's very well-mannered in the house, knows basic commands and rarely barks, unless it's to let you know someone new is coming to the house. If you're looking for a cuddly, active new family member, think about Lizzy!
Lizzy is temporarily on medical hold as she receives needed veterinary care. However, please contact us if you are interested in Lizzy and we'll be happy to talk with you.
Our adoption process includes completion of an Adoption Application, Phone Interview, and Home Visit. Our foster homes have the final say in which applicant is the best fit for their foster dog. It is not a first come, first serve basis.
We are not a shelter. Each dog is placed in an approved foster home, or reside at the small sanctuary, until adopted.
