My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Ollie. I am a 47lb, 2year old American Pit Bull Terrier Mix and I am full of personality! If you’ve ever met a Pittie, you know they are clowns and I hear my foster parents calling me a silly boy all the time. I love toys and will entertain myself by throwing balls and chasing unstuffed squirrel toys. I can also “talk”. I’m not sure what I’m saying but it sure is entertaining!

I started out life rough living on the streets with my girlfriend Layla. I took care of both of us and made sure we had what we needed until someone helped us. She has found her forever home but I’m still looking. I loved Layla and still love to play with friendly dogs. My foster brothers and sisters are balanced dogs and those are the kind I need to be with. I would also enjoy taking all the attention as an only dog because I LOVE my people. After I play for a little bit, I am happy to curl up at your feet, lap or on the couch.

I would love a fenced yard but if you will exercise me with plenty of walks or runs, that may work as well. Because I lived on the streets for most of my life and hand to fend for myself & Layla, there are times when I get scared. I hear my foster parents saying they think I was abused and hit before I got rescued because I can be hand shy sometimes. I need someone to live with who can understand that and not put me in situations where I am fearful. If a person approaches me being fearful, that makes me nervous and scared. But, if you think I’m great and want to be my friend, I will love you in return. I love my foster family and their dog-loving friends. Oh, please don’t take offense, but I would prefer a home with no children. Just one other thing, cats get me uber excited so I probably shouldn’t be around them. : ) I would love for you to see me, read the paragraph at the bottom of your screen for more information. (See, I am smart too).
