Sheila is a darling female Pekingese mix. This little 8 year old girl is very sweet and gentle, and probably one of the quietest and most peaceful dogs we have ever come across. Sheila is completely housetrained and extremely well behaved inside the home. She is an absolute joy to have around. Sheila is very quiet and never barks. In fact, we have not heard one peep out of her. She just sits and looks at you to see what's going on, and will sometimes tilt her head to one side in the cutest way as if she is trying to figure you out. Sheila weighs 12 pounds and is extremely easy to manage and super snuggly. Sheila loves to curl up in a dog bed and nap at your feet, or she will also snuggle for hours in your arms if you want. She is very soft and loves to be held. Sheila walks well on leash without pulling and trots right along beside you. She enjoys walks through the neighborhood, or simply poking around the backyard. Sheila is happy with pretty much anything. This is not surprising due to this little dog's obviously miserable past. Sheila is missing an eye due to a horrible eye infection. Unfortunately, the eye could not be saved. She arrived at the shelter stray, very skinny, and in a highly neglected and matted condition. She has since been professionally groomed and as you can see from her pictures, she is looking and feeling much better. Her fur is low to non-shedding healthy gray and tan waves that are incredibly soft. Sheila is a true survivor and deserves a better life. She is just so good, it breaks your heart to think of what she has endured. Sheila really won't ask for much, just some love, food, and a warm safe bed. This lovely little girl is waiting for her future to begin with a real home to call her own.
Sheila's adoption donation is $250 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Shelia is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Amanda and is ready for her forever home.
