Tatum's Story...
Tatum is a gorgeous 10 pound yorkie girl. She was a breeder surrender and came in with Selby. This two year old yorkie is ready for a lap to snuggle up in and someone to love her. She gets along with everyone.

The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not meet he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

About Our Shelter...
We are a group of dedicated volunteers passionate about helping the underdog that has been tossed aside for whatever reason. Once we take a new animal into our group, we take them for complete vetting before we list them as available for adoption. Most of time, the animals are very short on manners. Our foster parents socialize these dogs in our homes. We try to match each of our animals to the perfect home, and the perfect home to one of our dogs. We do not adopt our animals on a first come first serve basis.
Our volunteers know our dogs the best, and will be able to make better decisions on animal placements. Just because you are not selected for the animal you apply for, does not mean that you do not have a great home to offer to a rescued animal. We want the entire family to be a perfect match for a happily ever after story.
Our adoption fees vary from dog to dog, most fees range from 250.00 to 500.00. All of the dogs in our care are supported only by donations. All of the adoption donations we collect are spent in full on the care of the animals in our group, such as food, vetting, and heartworm preventative, spot on flea and tick preventative, and any other medicine that might be required by the vet.
All dogs that test positive for heart worm are treated and the bio will state so. Puppies that are too young to be spayed/neutered will be adopted on a contract that the adopter will have it completed by 6 months of age or per their veterinarian. No puppy will leave for its new home before 10 days after its second puppy shot, this is to ensure they are safe from distemper and parvo virus. All dogs and puppies 12 weeks and older will have a rabies vaccination.
Any dog over 6 months of age will have a snap test done for Ehrlichia, Lyme and Heartworms at the time they are altered. All of our dogs see our vet for a checkup before they leave for their new home. We are currently feeding Iams, we use Frontline and Advantix for fleas and ticks, for worming we rotate with Strongid for puppies to Panacur, Valbazen and Drontal Plus. We do alot of puppy mill and breeder surrenders, for retired dogs this means extensive and expensive dentals that will need maintenance in the years to come.
These dogs are not inexpensive to rescue but they are our passion, we will do all we can do give them a happy ending to a very sad beginning. We love our dogs and no matter what happens in the future if you cannot care for them we do require that they be returned to us. 10 days or 10 years, it does not matter. We are honest and supportive; we will be here if you need us.

We try to move dogs up to foster homes in the north east as we can, but most of our adoptions are directly from our main location in central Arkansas. We use an established and trusted paid transport to bring your new baby home to you.
