Sunshine Lady's Story...
Let the Sunshine In! Sunshine Lady-Vetted, Sweet - Could be Yours!

Sunshine, now named Lady, was adopted in July but is looking for a new home. Owners just feel she is too big of a dog. No issues with her—great dog and they love her but feel like she would be happier in a home with children. She has been housetrained, spayed, vaccinated and is heartworm negative! She has a special adoption fee of $75!!

From Pam: Lady, as we named her, is a wonderful dog. She weighs about 45 lb, is fawn colored with white markings and has t he most beautiful eyes--just about t he color of her coat. she does not shed much at all. We think she is a Staffordshire terrier mix and is almost two years old. She has been great around our 18 month old grandson but is just a little too big for him and we really have to watch Lady doesn't knock him down. Lady has never growled or shown any negative behavior except to be alittle skittish of tall males. She does bolt when given the chance and it is difficult to catch her. She loves to run outside in our fenced yard. She rarely barks. When she is inside, she is right beside you wherever you go. She chews on her dog toys but has not bothered anything else. She has her own bed and goes to it when we say but then she comes in and sleeps beside our bed after we go to sleep. She is house trained. She walks on the leash farely well. She just needs kids who will run with her and play with her. I know there is a young family, with school-aged children who would love Lady.

From May: FW school teacher and GAP foster/supporter Victoria received a text from a student one night about a stray pup. How wonderful that this child wanted to save this dog. He calls her "Sunshine". The Trinity High GAP Club stepped up to sponsor this pup but she is still in need! She has been fully vetted thru GAP and will be adopted thru their program. She has gone into a foster home but is looking for her forever family.

About Our Shelter...
Euless Animal Services is a division of the City of Euless. The City of Euless population is 49,758. All animals picked-up within the Euless city limits are kept at this facility for three days not including Sundays. After this "stray hold" period the animals are available for adoption.

Trinity GAP Club is a high school girls' club that is dedicated to showing young women a better alternative to what to do with their time and their lives. Our main community project is to work with the Euless Animal Shelter and find homes for the animals that come there so that more animals don't have to be unnecessarily put down. All of the sponsors of the club are avid animal lovers and feel very deeply that it is our mission to help those that can't help themselves. Find out more at www.trinitygaprescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunshine Lady, a Euless American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Euless, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Euless.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Euless already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Euless breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Euless paves the way for another one to be saved.
