Skittles is a 9 and a half week old beauty! She arrived weighing in at 9 pounds 6 oz. She is a great little puppy! One look at her and you will be in LOVE! She is very quiet and submissive to other dogs. She likes them, she just is not the bossy kind. She is more than content to sit on the laps of the kids and just be pet and loved. Skittles is walking really well on her leash. She is doing fantastic for such a young puppy. As we get to know this sweet one better, we will update the description. UPDATE: Skittles is a very quiet puppy. She is submissive with the other dogs she is fostered with. She walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks. Skittles is more than content to sit on the laps of the kids and just be pet and loved. Skittles has no complaints with a 3 year old holding her any which way she can. She just wants to be loved and give you kisses. She is fostered with young kids and other dogs. UPDATE: Her tiny little paws and face make her so adorable you just want to kiss her all day. She just wants to be loved and give you kisses. She sleeps well in a crate and hasn’t had many accidents. She does use newspaper if need be but mostly makes it outside to go potty. UPDATE: Skittles is your typical pup who is game for anything new and exciting but would so much rather just be held and cuddled and kept close. She is calm but picks up the energy if you have toys for her to play with. She is a petite little girl with so much love to give. She is happy to give kisses. She is being fostered with young kids from the ages of 2-12 and the 2 year old can do no wrong in skittle’s eyes. She loves kids. She is doing wonderful with her potty training and she makes it outside . She is rewarded with cookies and that is fun for her. She is just a joy to have around and she’s so gentle with the kids. She would like to play with the big dogs but is scared when they bark loudly. She keeps trying to win the big dog over. This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously!
Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled for Sunday May 6th. We will be in Franklin Lakes that day. After your application is approved, we will contact you and arrange for you to meet on that date. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.

IF YOU ADOPT a pup and live in the State of New Jersey we do have low cost spaying and neutering at very affordable prices. Kindly inquire upon an approved application. We also have an affordable program for out of state adopters.
We also offer low cost micro-chipping! For a low fee of only 20.00 we will have your dog microchipped. You will be able to register the microchip for a low cost fee of only 10.99 at the time of the adoption appointment. The 10.99 fee is a ONE time registration fee. The microchip is for the lifetime of the dog. You have the ability to update the contact information at NO cost. You will also have a one year membership to Home Again. This is a big savings for you.
***** If you're interested in fostering we could always use the help to save more animals. A crate, food, and medical care are provided. The animals are picked up in West Milford, NJ and brought back here for adoption. The time commitment is two to two and a half weeks.
