Fido's Story...
Fido is an adult male who is extremely curious and very loving. He loves to be pet for as long as you can give him attention, but he does play a little rough. The volunteers have been working with him and his "love bites" no longer hurt, but we cannot get him to stop. He does love to go on back rides. If you bend down a bit, he'll jump on your back and go with you wherever you go. It seems as though he has phantom pains from being declawed in the front, so he is a bit sensitive about his paws. He is okay with other animals and would be okay with small children as long as they do not try to pull at his front paws. He is very docile and is pretty well okay with anything that goes on as long as he can be around it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fido, a Moline Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Moline, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Moline.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Moline already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Moline breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Moline paves the way for another one to be saved.
