Christina's Story...
Christina(thinks her name is Mommie) came to us last Spring with a litter of 11 kittens. Yes, that is some sort of record or at least very unusual. She , with help, raised them up & we got them adopted. She is now rested up, spayed & ready for a home of her own. She is a very lovable, talkative & beautiful cat. She has had a bad urinary tract infection & is on her 3rd antibiotic. She should be on special food for her condition, but that is impossible here with so many other cats. If you have another kitty with chronic urinary problems, would you consider taking Mommie also? She is such a sweet, gentle spirit, you will be very rewarded with lots of love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Christina, a Jeffersonville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Jeffersonville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Jeffersonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jeffersonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jeffersonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jeffersonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
