Titus's Story...
Introducing Titus I am 7 months old, and my foster mom and dad call me the “happy to be here” pup. Sometimes I get so happy, and excited I can’t stop my wiggling, and it is even hard to walk! It has been described as a full-body wag. Think of the kid picked last for dodge ball then visualize me-get the picture? I could do your homework for you though! What I lack in physical prow less, I make up for in intelligence. All the mental work is exhausting, so I really enjoy a good nap, and cuddle. Once I have arranged myself across one of my foster parents I fall asleep so deep that sometimes my mouth falls open. Apparently this is funny, because if makes my foster mom giggle and stick her finger in between my front teeth.

My foster siblings are all big dogs, and have been showing me the ropes. They have shown me how to play (and I really love to play), and share, but sometimes I can’t help but want what the other’s have. My foster parents are always mentioning how they buy multiples of everything and that they are all the same but I just know that this cannot be true!

Titus has been working on his basic obedience. He knows sit, down, and crate. We have been working on recall (“come”), and leave it while on a long lead. Titus’ forever family would be required to take him to obedience classes, and continue his socialization work.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Titus, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
