COURTESY POST
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.
Kruger is a very friendly, affectionate, and social Ocicat. He is kittenish and loves to play with his toys--better if you are playing with him. He needs an owner who desires that interaction and who wants to spend time with him. As you can see from his photos, Kruger is currently overweight. You will want to parcel out his meals at specific mealtimes and encourage exercise to help him slim down. But a few treats each day won't hurt. Kruger was born November 30, 2006 and was named after the famous South African Prime Minister.
The Ocicat is an agouti spotted cat, originating from the interbreeding of the Abyssinian, Siamese, and American Shorthair. It is the only spotted domestic breed selectively bred to emulate the cats of the wild. The ideal Ocicat is a large, active animal with an athletic appearance. It is very solid and well-muscled and has a short, tight coat with a satin sheen that shows off muscles and spots to their best advantage. However the Ocicat's temperament is anything but ferocious. The Ocicat is not a demanding, clinging-vine type, but is confident as well as dedicated to its owners. Most Ocicats are also quite extroverted around strangers. Ocicats are quite bright and easily trained. They are good cats for a household already blessed with other cats or dogs.
Kruger and his house brother, Leo, are both seeking new forever homes. Their owner does not feel they need to be placed together, however if someone was looking for 2 cats, they would make a good pair. Kruger would do best in a home without young children, as he has never been around children. Kruger has never been outdoors so he has absolutely no knowledge of what it is about, so he needs to be an indoor cat ONLY. He will come to you neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and FELV/FIV negative.
If you think you would be the right home for Kruger, please call Karen at 707-301-6425 or by email at k.pahler@comcast.net. Please note that Kruger is not in a Purebreds Plus foster home. He is residing with his owner who is placing him. Adoption fee applies.
