Scooter is a 5-6 year old sun conure who had been living in the same home since she was a baby. We refer to her as a "she" because the vet suspects she may be female, but of course we do not know for sure. Scooter was described as unfriendly and only attached to one person, but her foster parents have not seen this side of her, and she will readily step up to both of them when she is out of her cage. She is a bit of a nervous bird, and it takes her a while to feel comfortable enough to come out of her cage. She was eating a diet of sunflower seeds and pellets before coming into rescue, and is now eating pellets, veggies, and fruits. She loves the pellets and fruit and we are still working on developing her appetite for veggies. Scooter is a sweet (yet slightly frightened) bird and with a little more socialization will be absolutely wonderful!
